How We Help with Uptime Monitoring

If you’ve ever found out from a reader that your site was down, you’re already behind.

We check your site every 60 seconds, 24 hours a day. If it goes down, our monitoring alerts us and you. You also get a status page with uptime history and a response time graph, so you can make sure your host is delivering on what they promised.

What makes our uptime support different

Real people monitor alerts during business hours

Our team receives alerts as soon as a site is offline, troubleshoots the cause, and takes action quickly — including contacting your host on your behalf — so nothing sits unaddressed.

Your own status page

We set up a custom status page for your site, where uptime and response time history are easy to verify anytime. It looks like this. 👇

Downtime prevention

Most monitoring tools only tell you when your site went down. We focus on keeping it up — with traffic filtering and network-level protections that stop problems before they start.

We know your site

Our support team knows your site, so we’re not re-learning your setup when something urgent happens. We have the context to act fast and we work directly with you or your host to resolve the issue.

Why catching downtime early protects your business

Downtime means lost trust, lost traffic, and lost revenue. Monitoring won’t prevent every hosting or technical issue, but it does shrink the window between something going wrong and someone being on it.

Our uptime monitoring is for teams that treat their website like critical infrastructure, not a side project: content-driven businesses and independent publishers like Michelle Tam who want to stay focused on their work while someone reliable keeps an eye on things:

I’m so happy and delighted to be a NerdPress client! As someone who knows little to nothing about the technical side of blogging, I sleep well at night knowing that the super-sharp team is keeping watch over my site and proactively fixing things if anything breaks. They’re also super-responsive whenever I have an issue!

If your site goes down, you’ll know about it fast — and so will we.

If you want to talk through what level of monitoring is right for your site, compare plans or book a call so we can walk through it together.

Things you might be wondering (aka: FAQs)

I got a down alert. What should I do first?

If you got our alert, we have it too, and if it’s during regular business hours, we’re already on it. If your site still looks down on your end, send us a quick note. That context helps us triage faster. If it comes back on its own before we respond, we’ll still review what happened and let you know what we found.

What usually causes downtime?

Technology is gonna technology! Most incidents trace back to a hosting resource spike, a DNS issue, something at the network or CDN layer, or a plugin conflict. We’ll work through the full picture and do our best to figure out the actual cause and address it to keep it from coming back.

How fast do you respond to downtime?

During business hours, downtime gets prioritized right away. We start triage immediately, then keep you posted on what we found, what we’re handling, and what comes next.

Can alerts be temporary or false alarms?

Yep, short blips happen. Sometimes the site has already recovered by the time we check. Even then, we review the context and history to determine whether it was a one-off or a pattern worth addressing.

Can I see uptime history for my site?

Every client gets a site-specific status page where you can check current status and recent uptime history anytime, so there’s no need to wait on an email thread. (But we’ll still email you! 😉)

How often is my site checked?

We check your site every minute against a live, non-cached version of your homepage. The goal is straightforward: you hear about issues from us, not from readers, customers, or ad partners.
