What’s new with the Guided Agent Connector · October 22, 2026
There’s no new NerdPress Guided Agent Connector release this week. Our team spent it on the behind-the-scenes work that keeps things running smoothly (the boring kind of busy).
Your agents, on the other hand, had their busiest week yet. So instead of new features, here are three jobs clients tackled, with prompts so you can try them too.
Tidy up your tags and categories
More than 3,000 tag and category changes this week! Years of near-duplicate tags (“gluten free” and “gluten-free,” anyone?) are a common cleanup.
Find duplicate tags
Start with · Check
List tags that look like duplicates of each other, like singular and plural versions or different spellings, with how many posts each one has. Don’t change anything yet.
Then · Change
For the duplicates I approve, move their posts onto one tag, then delete the extra tags.
With our Connector: Deleting a tag can be undone from the Activity tab, so a cleanup you regret isn’t permanent.
Turn category pages into landing pages
A category page with nothing but a list of posts is a missed opportunity. A short introduction helps new readers find your best work.
Write category introductions
Start with · Check
Pick my three biggest categories. For each one, draft a short introduction that helps a new reader find my best posts on that topic. Show me the drafts before you add anything.
Then · Change
Add the introductions I approve to those category pages.
Give your images better alt text
Alt text describes an image for readers who can’t see it. It’s one of the most common jobs clients hand their agents.
Fix alt text, ten posts at a time
Start with · Check
Check the images in my ten most recent posts and list any with missing or unhelpful alt text. Suggest better alt text for each, based on what the post is about. Don’t change anything yet.
Then · Change
Save the alt text I approve, and keep each post’s “last updated” date the same.
