What’s new with the Guided Agent Connector · October 1, 2026
Category and tag pages are often some of the most overlooked pages on a site. This week the NerdPress Guided Agent Connector learned how to help with them, and got better at explaining itself when it can’t do something.
Better SEO for your category and tag pages
If you use Yoast SEO, your agent can now read and update the SEO title and meta description for each category and tag page, the same fields you’d find in Yoast’s settings for that page.
Fill in the gaps
Start with · Check
List my categories that don’t have a Yoast SEO title or meta description, along with how many posts each one has. Don’t change anything yet.
Then · Change
Write a meta description for the five biggest categories on that list and show them to me. Save only the ones I approve.
Pro tip: Start with your biggest categories. They’re the pages most likely to show up in search.
Straight answers when something is switched off
Sometimes your agent can’t do something because your site, or another plugin, has that feature turned off. Instead of a confusing error, your agent now tells you what’s switched off and where.

Is there anything you can’t do on my site right now because a setting or plugin has it turned off? For each one, tell me what it is and where I’d turn it on. Don’t change anything.

- Clearer approvals. When a change needs your OK, the approval screen now says plainly that clicking Approve in WordPress is what makes the change. Your agent’s follow-up just reports back.
- Our guidance, pictures included. When our guidance articles include screenshots, your agent now gets a description of each one, so it can follow along like you would.
