How to Get the Most Out of a Blogging Conference

Published January 27, 2014, Updated January 7, 2021 by Andrew Wilder

Are you thinking about attending food blogging conference, but unsure of how to get the most out of it? Need tips on how to network? Wondering what to wear and what to bring?

Yesterday I joined Babette Pepaj, founder of BakeSpace and the TECHmunch Food Blogger Conferences, and Marly McMillen Beelman, founder of Namely Marley, in a Google Hangout where we covered how to make the most of your conference-going experience. Most of our tips easily extend to any conference experience, though I did happily point out that food bloggers are a particularly friendly group, so making new friends is usually extremely easy.

The conversation aired live on Sunday, Jan 26, 2014 at 11:00am Pacific. Check out the replay above!

I have been to several food-blogging conferences but still found the Hangout very timely. You covered all the issues that concern me and reminded me to take my comfy sneakers 😉 Great job – see you at TECHmunch.
