NerdPress is a Certified B Corporation!

Wait, what’s a B Corp™?

Certified B Corporations™ are companies that are evaluated on how they treat people and the planet. An independent nonprofit, B Lab™, takes a close look at how a company takes good care of its team, customers, community, and the environment, plus how it’s run.

The average score for a first-time Impact Assessment is 50.9, and companies must score at least 80 out of 200 points (with documentation to back it up) to become certified.

So, what makes NerdPress a B Corp?

Our mission is to help people do what they love so they can lead richer, more fulfilling lives. That applies to our clients, our team, our partners, and the broader WordPress community. The decision to become a B Corp was driven by our Core Values and our commitments to the five areas B Lab considers when evaluating companies. Here’s what that means for us:

Community

We aim to be a good digital neighbor. That includes giving back through nonprofit partnerships and donations, supporting industry events, sharing what we know with others, and contributing to a better, more accessible internet for everyone.

This connects directly to our value of Always Be Helpful. Helping others is at the heart of everything we do.

Customers

We believe in treating clients with fairness and communicating with transparency. B Corp certification reinforces the high standards we hold ourselves to in every interaction we have.

Through Teach and Empower, every interaction becomes a chance to build confidence and clarity. If something isn’t right, we fix it, and we always try to leave things better than we found them. But we don’t just solve problems — we explain thoroughly, share openly, and celebrate wins. We’re here to support you, not just your website.

Environment

Even as an all-digital company, our choices matter. That’s why we’ve partnered with We Are Neutral to measure our environmental impact and purchase verified carbon offsets. And we’re expanding our sustainability efforts every year!

Be Proactive guides us here; just as we strive to prevent problems before they arise for our clients, we apply the same forward-thinking to the planet by making choices today that create a healthier tomorrow.

Governance

Governance is about operating with transparency and integrity. Our commitments to our values and our stakeholders — team members, clients, vendors, communities, and the environment — lead our decision-making.

Keep Improving means we’re honest about where we are, curious about where we can go, and always striving to be better. We recognize that we won’t always get things right, but those moments are opportunities to learn.

Workers

People do their best work when they feel valued and supported. That means fair pay, flexibility, and a healthy, human-first work environment for our team.

Take Good Care reminds us to treat ourselves and each other with empathy and kindness, knowing that when we’re at our best, our clients and communities benefit too. By looking after our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing, we create space where everyone can thrive.
